Projects
Over the course of my college career, I have worked on various projects that I felt were both notable and noteworthy. From blogs to infographics and even authoring an eBook, the projects below are all works that I am extremely proud of and am excited to share with you!
Digital Capstone Project
As a culmination project for my Capstone course for my Digital Communication, Information, and Media minor, I spent time researching social media marketing and creating a multimedia story discussing this topic. Although I have a bit of a background working in this field of marketing, it was extremely enriching to be able to research and analyze this topic from different perspectives.
McDonald's Integrated Marketing Campaign Case Study
In the course Public Relations Management, we were tasked with gathering and analyzing information about an IMC campaign completed within the past five years. I decided to focus my two-part paper on McDonald's celebrity meal campaign, where they collaborated with celebrities such as Travis Scott, J Balvin, BTS, and Saweetie. In Part One, I included a SWOT analysis of McDonald's and an overview of the campaign. In Part Two, I analyzed the strategies and tactics utilized within this campaign, evaluated the success of the campaign, and provided my recommendations on what aspects were effective and what could've been improved upon.
Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. Reputation Analysis
In the course Organizational Reputation and Representation, we were tasked with creating a memo where we analyzed the reputation of an organization and offered recommendations on how it could be improved. With Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. being such a notable name in the hospitality industry, I thought it would be a fun yet challenging experience to analyze their specific reputation and see how it could be improved!
Leadership Development Plan
In the course Leadership in Digital Contexts, we were tasked with creating a Leadership Development Plan. Through this plan, I had the opportunity to analyze different aspects of my goal career path, including how I was working towards achieving this goal and assessing my personal and professional strengths and weaknesses.
Please Stand By, a WordPress site
In the course Strategic Presentations Methods in Digital Media, we were tasked with creating a website using WordPress on a topic that interests us. Since I am very interested in film and television, I decided to focus my site around this and share my passion with my site viewers. From blog posts to a podcast and even a section for visitors to submit their own TV or movie reviews, this was an extremely fun project to work on!
Navigating Virtual Teams During COVID-19 eBook
In the course Virtual Team Dynamics, I worked with other students in my class to create our own eBook using Book Creator on the different aspects of working in virtual teams, especially during the coronavirus pandemic. This was a unique experience as we got to interview people and explore different perspectives associated with working in a virtual team!
Digital Inforgraphic on Police Brutality
In the course The Structure of Information, I created an infographic using Piktochart that presented information about police brutality in the United States. The goal of this infographic was to be informative, yet present a narrative to the viewer so they could follow a meaningful story from beginning to end.
#StopAsianHate Multimedia Webpage
In the course Self and Society in Virtual Contexts, we explored social media hashtags and how they create a sense of community amongst its users. With this specific multimedia webpage, created using Adobe Express, I explored #StopAsianHate and how the emergence of the popular hashtag became a place for online users to share experiences, personal stories, and spread information online.
